What's new, and what's coming

Hi team,

Here's what we've been working on, and what's coming to the Wheel Fitment Guide over the next few weeks.

Coming soon: Fitment and Torque in one database

In the coming days, the Wheel Fitment database and the Wheel Nut Torque database become one database with one login. Search a vehicle once, then choose all the fitment details or just the wheel nut torque.

  • Keep using your main login. It will open the combined database.
  • Logins ending in "db" (the separate torque logins) won't be needed any more. If you sign in with one, you'll see a message telling you which login to use instead.
  • Not sure which login is yours? Call or text me on 0404 283 969 and I'll sort it out.

Coming soon: number plate search

Type a number plate and state (or an NZ plate) and go straight to the vehicle, without working out the make, model and year first. I'll explain how it works with your subscription before it starts.

Coming later: extra protection for your login

To keep your subscription safe, the first time your login is used on a new computer, phone or tablet, we'll email a one-off 6-digit code to your business email. Once it's entered, that device is remembered for 12 months, so you won't be asked again on it. Other computers on the same shop internet connection won't need a code each time.

Please make sure we have the right email address for your business. If it's changed, call or text me on 0404 283 969.

New vehicles added

We're adding the latest models every week, including the new Chinese brands. Recently added or updated:

  • Jaecoo J5, J5 EV, J7, J7 Super Hybrid and J8: wheel bolt torque from Jaecoo's own manuals.
  • Leapmotor C10 (EV and Hybrid EV): tyre sizes, pressures and wheel nut torque from Leapmotor Australia.
  • Mazda 6 (2012 to 2016): wheel nut torque updated to Mazda's figure.

We've asked BYD, GWM, MG, Chery, Omoda and Jaecoo, Zeekr, XPENG and Deepal for the wheel and tyre figures for their current Australian and NZ range. Every figure comes from the maker or importer, and anything that can't be confirmed is left out rather than guessed.

Search is smarter

  • Type the badge and it finds the vehicle: Mercedes C200, BMW 335i, Lexus GS300, Mercedes 280SE.
  • Australian series codes work too: Commodore VT, Falcon BA, FPV FG, HSV VX.
  • Tyre sizes like 225/40R18, half-typed years, export names (Mitsubishi L200 finds the Triton, KGM finds SsangYong) and common misspellings now find results.

Ask Fitment AI is smarter

  • On the Torque page, Ask Fitment AI now answers tyre size, PCD, offset, centre bore and "will it fit?" questions for the vehicle you've picked, using the figures from the Fitment database.
  • If a figure isn't in the database yet, it tells you straight, and where to find it (for example the tyre placard), rather than guessing.

Can't find a vehicle?

Use the Tell us button under the search. Every request is looked at in the weekly update.

Kind regards,
Russell
